Privacy Policy

LilUsage collects nothing. No analytics, no telemetry, no account, no server belonging to this app. Here is exactly what it does.

What it reads

LilUsage reads the Claude Code credentials already stored on your Mac, from one of two places:

macOS asks for your permission before this happens, and you can revoke it at any time in Keychain Access. Nothing else on your machine is accessed — not your prompts, projects, files, or Claude conversations.

Where it sends things

That credential is used for a single HTTPS request to Anthropic, roughly every 30 seconds, asking for your own usage percentages. The response is a small set of numbers, which the app draws in your menu bar.

No other host is contacted. The developer receives nothing, and there is no backend to receive it.

What is stored

Your preferences (show percentage, launch at login) are stored locally in macOS user defaults. Usage figures are held in memory only and disappear when the app quits.

Third parties

None. No advertising SDKs, no crash reporters, no analytics libraries.

Anthropic's own privacy policy governs the data held in your Claude account. LilUsage is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic.
