LilStats for macOS — last updated 11 October 2026
What LilStats reads
To show your Mac's load, LilStats reads system-wide counters that macOS makes available to any app: total and per-core CPU activity, memory statistics, and the utilization figure your graphics hardware reports. These are anonymous numbers about the machine, not about you or what you're doing. They're shown on screen and kept in memory for about a minute to draw the history graphs. They're never written to disk or sent anywhere.
What LilStats stores on your Mac
LilStats saves your settings — which metrics are shown, their order and style, colour mode, labels, update interval, and animation preference — locally using the standard macOS preferences system. These settings never leave your computer. Deleting the app removes them.
What LilStats does not do
- It does not look at which apps you run, what's in your windows, or your files.
- It does not request Accessibility, Screen Recording, Full Disk Access, or any other permission.
- It does not install helper tools or ask for an administrator password.
- It does not connect to the internet.
- It does not include third-party SDKs, trackers, or advertising.
Children
LilStats is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes on the Mac App Store.
